The real test field of the Dortmund-Ems Canal is being recreated for a realistic simulation within the game engine “Unity”. The video above shows the beginnings of the virtual recreation. Based on geometric data, the test environment can be replicated in detail. Accordingly, the current version of the virtual environment implements the riverbed filled with water as well as the surrounding land with height differences.
